Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in the convention, visitors, hospitality, or tourism field
• One year of supervisory experience with a proven ability to recruit, train, and develop staff
• Valid Class C Texas driver's license, or the ability to obtain one upon hire
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) or Texas Destination Marketer (TDM) designation
• Senior leadership within a convention and visitors bureau or destination marketing organization
• Experience partnering with a board of directors on strategy, policy, and annual planning
• A track record in destination sales, group business, and brand-driven marketing campaigns
• Experience managing hotel occupancy tax budgets and public sector reporting
