Anahuac City Administrator

Anahuac, TX
Full Time
Administration
Senior Executive

Reporting to the Mayor and City Council, the City Administrator is the chief administrative officer of the City of Anahuac. The role directs daily operations, coordinates all City departments and boards, and carries out the policies Council sets.

The work spans budget development and the tax levy, policy recommendations, personnel, contracts and oversight of municipal services. The City Administrator also leads grant pursuits, infrastructure priorities and development of a comprehensive plan.

Council wants a visible, approachable leader who keeps Council, staff and residents informed on issues and plans, takes initiative, and turns Council's direction into measurable progress.

Anahuac's next City Administrator will be a self-starter with strong financial judgment and a record of carrying projects from plan to completion. Council and staff want a leader who builds working relationships with the school district, Chambers County, neighboring cities and utility districts, negotiates effectively with landowners and developers, and keeps the Mayor, Council, employees and residents informed as plans move forward.
